The History of Coxheath Village Hall
The property was built in 1970 and extended in 2004. It is held upon trust for the purpose of a Village Hall and Recreation Centre for the use of the inhabitants of Coxheath and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or of political religious or other opinions and in particular for use of meetings lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
The hall is managed by a committee which consists of up to a maximum of 12 elected members, 6 nominated members and 2 co-opted members.
The building consists of a main hall, small hall and committee room and also houses the office of the Coxheath Parish Council.
Outside there is a children’s playground, which is managed by the Parish Council, an adequate car park and a playing field which gives access to woodland areas and is frequently used by dog walkers.
